My new best friend...

Photobucket

My husband thinks I'm too good for this world (my husband is too good to be true) because of this he doesn't like it when I get sick. No not one bit. And dang I've been sick lately. My allergies have been a SERIOUS pain in and of themselves, but on top of that my kidney is killing me. It really, really hurts right now.

Thinking that perhaps my kidney infection hadn't fully cleared up, I went to the Dr. today and he informed me that my infection was gone, but that I was very dehydrated. Apparently something about the altitude and or climate up here causes people to not realize that they're thirsty. Crazy. And because of my dehydration I am now the proud owner of dun, dun, dun...

KIDNEY STONES.

Yikes. I've never had kidney stones. I don't want them now. And judging by how bad I already feel, I'm thinking this can't be good. But at least I'm not chronic or terminal, which makes my hubby very happy.

Guess I'm not as good as he thinks.

Oh ouch! My husband sends his sympathy. I've lost count of how many kidney stones he has had--about 15, I think? I hope you feel better soon.

Ouch, SOOO sorry!. I know a homeopathic remedy that I swear works (although you must like coke and asparagus). Hope it goes away soon.

Oh my gosh! You poor, poor thing! My son has a tendency to get dehydrated. I'm going to have to tell him what could happen... Hope you feel better soon!

Ew.... sorry.

I want to hear Erika's remedy! (even though I never want to have to use it!)

Wake up, and on an empty stomach drink a 6 pack of regular coke (caffeine and sugar) with in 2 hours. When you finish the last can, eat one can of asparagus, pureed (but you could use fresh and do quite a bit). Then drink plenty of water and your body goes to work destroying the stones. Should work with in 2 hours. I don't like coke, but it was worth it!

Oh, no! So sorry to hear that. I've heard it can be really painful. Hope you're better soon. I've started drinking my 2 liters of water per day, too. I get dehydrated easily. It gets easier to get through enough water each day, though. And it makes you feel so much better!
