Make it stop...

It's too cold. I hate cold. Cold makes me want to wrap up in a blanket, eat my weight in junk food and watch a sinful amount of reality TV. Cold is bad.

I tried not to let it get the best of me. I tried to channel my inner Rudy (we watched Rudy the other night--you know the story about the young man who, against all odds, fulfills his dream to play football for Notre Dame--very inspirational) I tried to work hard, be productive, and push through the pain, but it was too stinkin' cold. So I watched "Millionaire Matchmaker" instead (yeah that's productive--I'm not even in the market for a millionaire).

I ask you, what's a sun lovin' girl to do? What?
Seriously.
I'm cold people.
Help.

And yes, my feet are covered.

I'm with you! I'm spending all of my time in flannel pajamas and fuzzy warm socks. And now it is supposed to snow some more. Just wake me when it's spring!

I hate cold, too! Today it is in the low 30's with 50 mph wind gusts!! I start counting the days until spring about this time.... Sorry I can't do anything for you, except send you warm thoughts!

don't ever come here. ever. I am warning you. Does -20 help you warm up?? I totally understand you. I never want to leave my house. We are always in sweats and socks and 3 layers. Good luck, I have no advise because I can't figure out how to beat the cold! (since I was born in AZ I still think I have pure AZ blood and can't adapt to this place)

I wonder the same thing... I got a little quilted thing full of wheat and lavender that you heat up in the microwave and then wrap around you- it is delicious and wonderful on cold feet. The other thing I do is worship the heater god- I wrap up in a blanket and kneel over the heater register when it comes on so all the hot air is trapped around me.

I woke up today and thought I was welcoming spring! However the weather app on the iPod said it was 8 degrees out. It didn't look or feel like 8 degrees so I was definitely welcomign spring today. I wish there was somewhere that was spring/fall all your long. Not too hot, not too cold... Gardens would grow and we'd all wear flowers in our hair and eat out on the patio by the lake. All year long.

OK, so I think the ipod app is set to Celsius and not Fahrenheit! It was really in the 40's and 50's yesterday and is supposed to get up to 60 tomorrow. Hello Spring!

Oh, but it's so pretty. But I'm with you - leaving sunny 70F Phoenix to return to cloudy 8F Chicago was so, so sad. So when Chloe complained of a tummy ache and sore throat, I was quick to say, yeah, stay home from school.

We had so much fun at your house, btw. Hope we didn't leave it a disaster. And thanks for finding Chloe's bunny - been with her almost since birth.
